Delegating Digital Equity

 

We are all aware of the power of wills when it comes to dividing assets after we’ve passed, but what about the assets we can’t see? Like online shares and bitcoins, or even just our personal photo collection on our computers, what happens to those?

With declining paper statements if someone doesn’t have access to these online accounts it may not ever be uncovered and it’s worth potentially lost in cyberspace.

Do you even want your family to be able to access your personal messages and accounts? If so have you given them the tools to do so in your will? These are important questions to ask yourself when your thinking of drafting up a will.

We talked to Solicitor Leora Tius from Atkinson Vinden Lawyers, who shed some light on what “Digital Assets” are and how to manage them.
