Dictionary of Sydney: Reynold’s Cottage in the Rocks

The Rocks are host to the earliest authentic dwellings in Sydney. Reynold’s cottages are a set of three, two of which were built by convicts and the last one by William Reynolds. Constructed between 1829 and 1834 these working class cottages have survived many attempts to redevelop the area.

Historian and Dictionary of Sydney contributor Melissa Holmes will be presenting the history of the Cottages at the Cottages on 11th of September if you’d like to know more.
