Do Australians Have a “Right” to Travel?

Have you cancelled travel plans or missed out on a holiday this year because of COVID-19? Well, you’re not alone. And while you might just be putting off your plans until things “go back to normal” – but when it comes to travel, will things ever be truly normal again? And how entitled are we to overseas holidays and the easy kind of travel we’ve enjoyed in the past anyway?

We spoke to Professor Susan Rimmer, Director of the Policy Innovation Hub at Griffith Business School, Griffith University about Australia’s love of travel and how that might have to change to suit new realities going forward.
