Do Carbon-Offset Programs Work?

The aviation industry is a large contributor to global carbon dioxide emissions, and as a result, almost a third of airlines offer carbon-offsetting programs. In theory, these schemes balance the emissions of an individual passenger through a broad range of carbon offset projects. To tell us exactly what your money goes, and how successful these programs are, we were joined by Professor Susanne Becken from Griffith University.
