Why don’t we have a national strategy to fight stroke?

In Australia, 1 person every 9 minutes will experience a stroke.

Last Monday the new clinical guidelines for stroke management were launched, the first update to the guidelines in more than 7 years.

However without a government written national strategy to fight stroke, quality care continues to fall between the cracks.
