Dry July: The Australian drinking culture exposed

The Dry July campaign that aims to stop the consumption of alcohol for a month in a pledge to raise money for cancer research has been around for nearly ten years. The Dry July campaign was created in 2008 when binge drinking was deemed to be getting out of hand. Though, does the campaign’s implications of laying off alcohol for a whole month perhaps say something more sinister about our drinking culture?

Myles Houlbrook-Walk spoke to Dr in Philosophy, Julie Robert from the University of Technology Sydney about Australian’s binge drinking habits.
