Egoism chat debut full-length, fanbase, and Sydney soundbites

Inner West-based Egoism, self-branded as “just a local band from Sydney” have just dropped their debut full-length And Go Nowhere on 30 May. The independent Eora trio, comprised of Olive Rush, Adam Holmes, and Scout Eastment, had an in-depth yarn with Jono all about it ahead of their acoustic set and instore signing at Hum on King in Newtown on Sunday 1 June. This extended edit features conversation about the tracing process from origin stories, demo to final draft stage, building an organic fanbase through Instagram Close Friends and Discord, and Foley samples, among other things.

Egoism will be launching And Go Nowhere at The Lansdowne on Friday 13 June. Tickets are available here. Vinyl in exclusive colour print are available physically at Impressed Records, and online on Bandcamp. You can also sign up for their newsletter mailing list here, as well as graf the billboard on the corner of Addison Road and Illawara Road in Marrickville up till Friday 6 June.
