March is Epilepsy Awareness Month

Epilepsy Action Australia has declared March as Epilepsy Awareness month, and on Breakfast this morning Nic caught up with neurologist Dr Alexis Selby to try and sort the myths from the facts.

Described as a ‘seizure disorder’, Dr Selby explains that epilepsy is a surprisingly common disorder, with a variety of causes and symptoms.

If you know anyone with epilepsy — friends, family or even co-workers — Dr Selby has some tips of how to understand the disorder and how to be ready to help.

March 26 is Purple Day and you could find out how to get involved here.
