Daniel Mookhey

Twelve months ago, Daniel Mookhey was the first person in Australian parliamentary history to be sworn in on the bhagavad gita.

Although not a particularly religious person, it makes a statement which Daniel says reflects his drive as a politician as well as the modern face of Australia’s cultural landscape.

Daniel Mookhey is currently a New South Wales Labor Member of the New South Wales Upper House.

He has always been a political person but the first thing The Chat wanted to know… was why politics?
