Lily Serna

Lily Serna is a woman who wears many hats. She’s a mathematician, a TV presenter, data scientist – and she’s about to start a new job as an analyst with Atlassian, the Aussie software giant.

Lily studied a Bachelor of Mathematics and Finance and a Bachelor of International Studies at UTS. She also received a first class honours degree in mathematics with applications in Biology.

You may have seen her on Letters and Numbers, the cult SBS game show where two contestants pit their linguistic and numerical skills against each other.

It was a busy time for Lily, who was completing her honours at the time of filming for the show.

Ellen Leabeater talks to Lily about being busy, her time in television, and about getting more women into maths.
