Curved Radio :: 10:00pm 22nd Nov 2020

This weekend (Sunday, 22nd November) in our continuing Curvy Rewind series throughout this month as we replay favourite recent episodes, Gayle Austin features tracks from the legendary Brigitte Fontaine’s stunning 2020 album, ‘Terre neuve’ and pays homage to the late Bonnie Pointer of The Pointer Sisters.

We’ll also be treated to an extended mix from American born, Berlin Based artist, Laurel Halo. This mix is part of the new series of “sonic fictions” inspired by Ursula K. Le Guin’s ‘The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction’ which reimagines the mix as a container, medicine bundle & chronometer telling the time on another world and is presented by Camden Arts Centre, Haus der Kulturen der Welt and Ignota Books. It includes sketches, drafts, field recordings and other unheard sounds from from Laurel Halo, Lucrecia Dalt, Julia Holter and many many other artists.

Also in what is proving to be a deliciously curvy and eclectic as always program, Syunsuke Ono & Shintaro Sakamoto, KateNV, Kate Bush, Kerry Andrew of Juice Vocal Ensemble, Celeste, a piece from the Dalai Lama Inner World release, the Delta Sweete herself and our promo star, Bobbie Gentry and from Japan, Viva Sherry via mottomotto records are all in the mix!

Listen to the livestream via : from 10pm Sydney, AU time this Sunday (check the world clock at your place) or via catch-up through the 2ser website.
