On today’s special edition of Playback – the inspirational and incredible story of UPK – Uwankara Palyanku Kanyintjaku UPK (Translated Pitjantjatjara: ‘Everybody
creating and holding our future’) a series of music recordings that began in 1989 at Mutitjulu and have been enriched since that time by the contribution
of many Indigenous music heroes.

This is an intergenerational story – the children and grandchildren of the original series are now a part of more recent recordings.
