Surf Plastics Pollution – Sydney beaches are literally awash with plastic pollution, and some of the rubbish comes from board riders. Two environment groups are measuring the impact on beaches and oceans.

Boarding Houses Disappearing as Affordable Accommodation – Karen Hunter Leads the Homelessness Services Team at Newtown Neighbourhood Centre. She explains that the largest number of boarding houses, some 250 of them, are to be found in Sydney and the Inner West. Now, it looks like they’re being sold off on account of publicity about poor maintenance and neglect of tenant’s rights.
