The Band Next Door :: 10:00pm 9th May 2019

Tonight on The Band Next Door on 2SER, we’re going to be hearing from the founder and head honco of one of my favourite labels to ever come out of Oz, Lachlan Dale of Art As Catharsis.
Originally focusing on the heavier side of the spectrum with records from Adrift for DaysWe Lost The Sea and Space Bong, AAC has evolved to be one of the most eclectic Australian labels active at the moment. With releases spanning from the avant-pop of Lack The Low to the atonal experimental sounds of Kurushimi.
Plus, their annual showcase known as NICEFEST has quickly become an eagerly awaited date in the local live music calendar.
This weekend Nicefest returns for its 6th iteration, and Lachlan joins us in the studio to chat about the evolution of the label and what it takes to put on a show like Nicefest:

Also coming your way through your stereo..
Indie garage rockers Blue Green, the neo-soul/nu-jazz empress Inês. The gauzy guitars of Truly Holy and the mellow synths of Soft Touch
Plus the latest from Sydney locals WeAreNotRobotsBaby Beef and more

2 Hours of Alternative Australiana from 10pm.
Only on 2ser FM.
