Used Parts Galaxy :: Bernhard Gunter Time Itself Dreaming 11th Jun 2018

Time, Dreaming Itself is the most Feldman-like release in Bernhard Günter’s growing discography. Gone are the trademark clicks and pops; instead you are treated to long pitched gestures, many of which sound like they could have been played by acoustic instruments (and are, in fact, treated samples). The sounds have a richness that shows Günter’s continued mastery of his instrument and his materials. There is still excellent use of silence and tranquillity, almost meditational or devotional in nature. Günter’s entire oeuvre has been about treating his listeners to small sounds, cleansing the system of the environmental noise pollution, and Time, Dreaming Itself is an excellent continuation of his exploration.
