Ethics of 4 days work every week

The shadow Chancellor of the labour party in the UK announced last month that they would reduce the standard working week to 32 hours, without loss of pay within ten years of winning office.

One common argument for a 4 days working week is that it is ethically desirable because it can correct for the unequal distribution of free time. Here to discuss it with us is Nicholas Smith, Professor of Philosophy at Macquarie University.
