Fast Food Companies Are Not Confronting Obesity
Researchers from Deakin University have evaluated Australia’s 11 biggest fast food companies and have found that they aren’t doing enough to tackle obesity here in Australia.
The researchers have scored several fast food chains based on their nutrition policies, marketing to children, disclosure of nutritional information and plans to reduce sugar and saturated fat. All of these fast food companies failed to secure a pass mark. Researcher Ella Robertson joined us on The Daily to discuss the issue.
