Artifactual Rhythm by Alexander Flood

The Feature Album this week on 2SER is Artifactual Rhythm by Adelaide percussion machine Alexander Flood.

His previous three studio records have placed Flood, along with bandmates Jake Amy, Erica Tucceri and Dylan Paul, right at the forefront of the new wave of Jazz and Electronic musicians coming out of Australia.

Slotting right in the pocket between cerebral listening and dance-oriented arrangements, Artifactual Rhythm is an expansive and improvisational record that sits at the intersection of 90s and 2000’s house music, uk garage, broken beat and groove-powered jazz-funk.

Alexander Flood will be performing live for 2SER’s Metro A.i.R residency at the Metro Social on Wednesday April 16. It’s free entry and doors are at 7pm.
