Gabriel Garzon-Montano: songwriting for non-songwriters

Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Gabriel Garzon-Montano is somewhat of an enigma, even in today’s music industry.

The multilingual artist released his debut EP in 2014, but after being sampled by Canadian superstar Drake on ‘Jungle’ a year later, his name got majorly out there. His latest work, Jardin, released earlier this year was met with serious critical praise.

On tour in Australia, Gabriel joined Nic in the 2ser Studio to talk about his new album, his upbringing and the time he called Philip Glass ‘boring’.
