Global Tide Models Project Significant Rise Of Episodic Flooding
Last week, Sydney was once again hit by heavy rain and flooding. Narrabeen and Wamberal, were hit by wind driven waves leading to 20 homes evacuated. On Monday, the Bureau of Meteorology warned of flooding in Western Australia, as the state’s coast was hit by rain for the first time in years. Recent research by the University of Melbourne indicates that global tide models project towards a significant rise in episodic flooding.
