Gonski 2.0 suggests individualised teaching methods and testing to overhaul school system

The Review to Achieve Educational Excellence in Australian Schools report – widely known as Gonski 2.0 – was released earlier this week. In it, David Gonski says that the school system – which has ‘failed a generation’ – could do with reform, and recommends that tailoring teaching and learning to each student’s needs could be the answer.

But is this possible?

To find out, Tess spoke to Dr David Zyngier, Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Education at Monash University. He’s also a former school principal and teacher.
