‘Google it’ The Proposed News Media Bargaining Code

How many times do you use the phrase “Google it”? Possibly already a few times today?

Google is in the spotlight after the company stated they would remove the availability of their search engine in Australia if the Federal Government’s proposed digital media code goes ahead in its current form. Mel Silva, the managing director of Google Australia and New  Zealand proposed amendments for the code at a Senate hearing on Friday 22nd January she said: “if this version of the Code were to become law it would give us no real choice but to  stop making Google Search available in Australia.” So, what does it all mean?
