This weekend marked an incredible achievement for one of our 2SER legends, Barbara Morison. 44 years on air with All Kinds of Country; putting together an estimated 1600 interviews over that time and no doubt now millions of songs to air. Ever the champion for Australian country music, the show featured a live in studio chat with Tom Curtin, literally off the plane from Darwin.

Adam Simon from Country HQ was also live in studio for the 2 hour block, providing a great chat and he also brought a bag of goodies – a collection of thank yous from greats of the scene.

While there are many of the AKOC of family who are now in the big gig in the sky (especially Barb’s darling Mum and original create digger; and watchful watchdog Diesel), as Adam put it, this show is “not only your history, it’s our history.” Thanks for all your service Barbara – for your generosity, knowledge and company. We look forward to 44 more!
