Has Social Media Killed the High School Reunion?

The increasing prevalence of social media in a tech-fuelled society has resulted in a lack of privacy, especially when it comes to major life milestones. Because of this, it can be said that the element of surprise that is usually associated with ceremonial gatherings, such as high school reunions, has effectively disappeared.

Monday Drive chatted to Professor Gary Martin, the CEO of the Australian Institute of Management WA. He spoke to us specifically about high school reunions, and how the use of social media has effectively erased the element of surprise that was previously in place.
