Is A Healthy Environment A Human Right?

Australia is currently one of only 15 countries that does not recognise the human right to a healthy environment at a federal level.  The Australian Panel of Experts on Environmental Law recommended that environmental democracy in Australia needs to have a foundation. With amendments that need to be changed through legislation to allow this, what exactly will Australia look like with the human right to a healthy environment? The Daily was joined on the line by Meg Good,  Adjunct Professor in Faculty of Law at University of Tasmania to discuss  how this will be beneficial for our nation.
