Hillary Clinton’s loss was because she was not radical enough

In the past week we have heard many platforms discuss that Hillary Clinton’s loss was due to sexism. However, many people believe that her loss was more due to the fact that she did not recognise the political shift in the mood of voters and that she was not radical enough. It was known that Trump was appealing to people who identified with Brexit in the UK, showing that Hillary’s middle field campaign was quite underplayed, despite her focus on women’s issues.

Many think that this loss is being misinterpreted in the media and this calls for the discussion on how feminism is portrayed in politics.

Earlier, we were joined by Eva Cox, professorial fellow at UTS to discuss more about this issue.
