How Will Trumps “Foreign Lands” Film Tariff Affect Australia’s Film Industry?
Trump has recently announced a 100% tariff on films “…produced in Foreign Lands”. If you’ve watched any big Hollywood films recently and sat through the credits, you probably would have noticed a few Australian government logos like: Screen Australia, VicScreen, and Screen Queensland. We are joined by joined by Mark David Ryan, Professor in screen and media industries at the Queensland University of Technology and a Chief Investigator for the Digital Media Research Centre to help us understand how these tariffs might be implemented, and how it might affect Australia’s film industry.
