Earlier this year, Melbourne artist Mojo Juju released her third album Native Tongue, a magnetizing articulation of past, present and place. While Mojo Juju herself has been a fixture of the Australian soul scene for more than 10 years, now more than ever are the narratives woven within Native Tongue poignant; both in representing her own lineage and in challenging the musical and social status quo.
