Increase in homelessness driven by cost of housing

The Australian Homelessness Monitor 2022 released recently tells a concerning story. Namely, that the average number of homelessness services users has increased by 8%, which is double the population growth rate in the four years to 2021-2022.

Deeper analysis into the factors driving this increase reveals that a lack of affordable housing is playing the largest role in homelessness.
