International Guide Dog Day is coming up this Wednesday, April 29th, when we celebrate these amazing working dogs in how they aid those who are blind or vision impaired to get around safely. This day also recognises the volunteers, employees and guide dog schools who dedicate their time to breeding, raising and training our furry friends.

We were joined by Dale Cleaver, Guide Dogs NSW/ACT CEO, to chat about International Guide Dog Day, what it’s like to train a Guide Dog and a new Guide Dogs Australia initiative that will be implemented this year.
