Interview With An Artist – Yuri Shimmyo

Each Thursday at 11:45am we profile an Australian artist – be they a sculptor, painter, drawer, weaver – someone working in the visual arts.

Yuri Shimmyo tried to give up painting. She tried to just do her day job, be a mum and live a life away from the easel. But she couldn’t. It called her back. After 40 plus years of painting, this year Yuri was selected as a finalist in the Archibald.

Yuri joined  The Daily Host Willy Russo from her home in Sydney for this week’s Interview With An Artist.
