Conversion Therapies Still Happening In Australia

A devastating new report from the Human Rights Law Centre and La Trobe University has confirmed that religious conversion therapies are still being practiced in many faith communities in Australia. The report details the experiences of 15 LGBT people who have survived religious conversion therapy and reveals the immense harm these practices have.

Lee Carnie, co-author of the report and senior lawyer at the Human Rights Law Centre joined us to discuss the findings of the report and what needs to be done to end these life threatening practices.
