Joko Widodo Set for Re-Election

The Indonesian election was held yesterday, with the incumbent president Joko Widodo competing against Prabowo Subianto, a former Lieutenant-General of the Indonesian Army.

The counting is not complete and the election hasn’t been declared, but it looks like Widodo is cruise to another term as president.

So as the third largest democracy gives its president another term, The Daily‘s Ruby Innes was joined by Professor Michele Ford, Director of the Sydney Southeast Asia Centre at the University of Sydney, to discuss the Indonesian election.
