Foreign correspondence. Frontline reporting. To bring the stories of the conflicts and tragedies to those sitting at home in front of the television, those reading the newspaper on the bus, or those listening to the radio while cooking. It’s what most journalism students dream of. But do we encourage the dream without teaching the practicalities???
