Do we know enough about the mental health of med students?

It’s no surprise that medical students and doctors undertake a high volume of stress or emotional difficulty from the demand of work. However, much of this does not get formally recognised or managed. A report highlighting the Prevalence of Depression among medical students revealed that there is still a significant amount of students experiencing emotional stress.

The Daily spoke to Professor Ute Vollmer-Conna, Student Wellbeing Advisor and Associate Professor for UNSW’s School of Psychiatry.
