Between the grand elegance of the historic Mitchell building and the modern Macquarie building of the State Library of NSW, explore Hunter Lane, where a black light tunnel will play on the shapes and create a unique experience. In the modern triangle the DJ booth will pop under the black lights and if you want the join the dance, grab a headset and immerse yourself.

Walk your way through the art fair at the Hyde Park Barracks. Glow-in-the-dark paintings and other art pieces reveal themselves under the black light!

Immerse yourself in the black light experience as you walk around the Festival. Highlighting the unique features of the Festival activities and the heritage buildings, see like the Mopoke as the black lights create a new perspective.

MOPOKE is a 24-hr arts and culture festival kicking off at dusk and promising to take you on an artistic journey through night & day. We intend to shake up your imagination, stimulate your curiosity & nourish your mind. 

Talented artists will be bringing their visions and creations to Macquarie Street East. From music to live arts, drawings to paintings, storytelling to poetry, native gardens to gastronomy, and art market to philosophy debates; the programming is not only eclectic but unprecedented and unique.

MOPOKE promises to celebrate diversity, connecting arts to people and people to arts.
