Loneliness – Our Next Health Crisis?

Have you ever experienced the feeling of loneliness? According to an analysis of Household, Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia data there is a high change you have. In fact the study has found that more than one in six people have reported feeling lonely and a massive 1.5 million people have been lonely for a decade or more. Lonely people are also at greater risk of premature mortality and other risk factors the study has revealed. Today on the Daily we were joined by Alison Brooks, the national executive officer of Relationships Australia to provide further insight into this is loneliness issue.
