‘LoveSick’: An Exploration of Mental Illness
Our mental health is an important aspect of all our lives, affecting us to varying degrees. Our state of mental health can drastically affect our work, relationships or everyday social interactions.
It is through these emotional strains and difficulties that artistic expression is inspired, providing a tool to process mental health concerns and raise awareness.
We had Meg White on the show, who is a Director of photography, to discuss the creative expression of mental health and her upcoming exhibition ‘LoveSick’, a photography series which explores emotional attachment, placing a twist on the ‘illness’ of unrequited love, particularly that stemming from anxiety.
