Macquarie Uni Ousts Family Food Facilities For Franchises

Macquarie University is in the midst of plans to close down independent food outlets on campus to make way for larger franchises. The Campus Hub building, which currently hosts the major eateries on campus, is due to be demolished later this year, and a temporary dining area will be constructed on the lawn outside the university library. All chain stores have been approved for this area, while independently-owned businesses are being discontinued.

The Daily spoke about the matter with Angus Dalton, Editor in Chief of Macquarie University’s student publication, Grapeshot. For more information read his article on Grapeshot http://bit.ly/2tiWU0F.
