Bioinformatics brings together the fields of life science, computer science and statistics, and can solve problems ranging from biology to medicine.

Though seemingly complicated, bioinformatics is a field that is easily accessible ⁠— all you need is a computer, internet access and some coding skills.

We spoke to UNSW Masters student Lachlan Gray about how you can improve your skillset as a citizen scientist using bioinformatics.
