Me and My Dysphoria Monster

If you’re a 90s baby, you probably grew up with iconic children’s books like the Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister or Oh, the Places You’ll Go! by Dr. Seus. But if you were a young trans person you might have felt books and other media didn’t reflect your experiences or offer a positive image of a trans person. Well, Laura Kate Dale is aiming to fix this with her new children’s book Me and My Dysphoria Monster, which is out now and explores a young trans girl’s journey and struggle with gender dysphoria. Jemma sat down with Laura to about her new book and her creative process.
