What is the meaning of “home” in end of life care?

Here on Think Health we have been taking a closer look at palliative care, and this week we ask what do we mean when a majority of us say we would prefer to die at home?

In an ongoing debate between building more specialist facilities or providing more care at home, understanding this could be key.

Palliative care is an area that is getting more and more important as our population ages, as and more people require end of life care. Although, it’s not just a concern for the elderly.


As friends, family members, future patients and taxpayers, we all have a stake in the state of palliative care.
