Do you find yourself thinking about work late into the night? And before you know it it’s 2am and you’ve got to get up in 3 hours? Well you’re not alone. In fact you’re part of 1 in 5 Australians who do. A new survey conducted by mental health organisation SuperFriend shows that work related insomnia is helping to pave the way for higher statistics in mental health struggles. It was reported that 20 percent of work colleagues suffer a mental health condition, and 45 per cent of these say they faced stigma in the workplace. So how does insomnia affect us in the workplace and our mental health? We spoke to Dr Sebastian Rosenberg who is a Senior Lecturer in Mental Health Policy at the Brain and Mind Research Institute at the University of Sydney.
