Metro Madness!

If you’ve made it up north to Macquarie, chances are you’ve ridden the metro. The flashy new self-driving trains are set to make their home all throughout Sydney, with a  $55 billion budget suggested currently allocated for the Metro expansion. With recent industrial action expanding that budget, many economists and public transport experts are wondering if this project is becoming economically unviable.

We sat down with Christopher Day, PHD student in economic and industrial policy at the university of Sydney to discuss the economic viability of the metro expansion.
