Minister Rowland’s first official visit to a community radio station

During the last election campaign, Labor committed $12 million to support the community media sector.

Braidwood, NSW is located 60kms east of Canberra, and its community radio station, Braidwood FM, played a critical role during the bushfires in 2020.

Minister for Communications Michelle Rowland’s first official visit was to Braidwood FM to chat with volunteers and staff about the challenges, experiences, and the role the station has on natural disasters.
