National Blood Donor Week

This week is the National Blood Donor Week and today we also saw the first ever Bloody Good Friday, which is the first 24-hour-straights blood drive. Every year we celebrate and thank donors for their generosity and commitment. But the need for blood doesn’t stop, in fact, across Australia we need more than 25,000 donations every week and this high demand is set to continue to grow.

We spoke Jen Salter from the Australia Red Cross about how people can become donors and the importance of volunteer donors.
