New discovery shows living longer can be achieved without eating less

Spend a few minutes scrolling on your favourite social media app and you’ll no doubt stumble across a diet ad promoting intermittent fasting or restricting your calorie intake. Nowadays, people are following these diets in the hopes of living longer and healthier lives.

However, a recent study out of Monash University suggests that fasting and diet restriction is not the answer. We were joined by Monash University’s Head of the Nutritional Physiology and Ageing Research Group, Dr Matthew Piper to tell us more.
