New Drug Puts Cancer To Sleep

After over a decade’s worth of research, a one of a kind type of drug to help treat cancer, has been developed in Australia. This drug places cancer cells on a continuous ‘sleep’, preventing cancer cells from spreading further. Associate Professor Tim Thomas, from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research, in Melbourne who co-led the study joined us to discuss this.
