New Music with Steph Liong

2SER’s favourite muso Steph Liong is back on-scene this Monday, and she’s in with some goodies.

To kick-off New Music, we have a new album from Sydney singer-songwriter Charlie Collins.

Snowpine features a glowing mix of dreamy, airy folk singles, worthy of and add to your Favourites playlist (if you don’t have one, make one and add Collins to it now).

What seals the deal on this new work by Collins is the power of her songwriting.

Growing up in music-hub Tamworth, Collins has been surrounded by country sound her entire life, and it shows. Snowpine is comprised of a list of incredibly open and refreshing lyrics which will draw you in and make you never want to leave.

Next up we have a new Dépaysé from Sudanese-American artist, Sinkane.

With the album’s title ‘Dépaysé’ meaning displaced or in unfamiliar territory, this new record takes a more personal tone from Sinkane

Through an up-lifting mix of electronics, reggae and funk rock, the artist takes us along on his emotional journey of self-exploration and emotional discoveries of belonging.

And lucky last, Steph brings us Run Around the Sun from Glasgow-born duo, Sacred Paws.

This one’s a fun one, featuring a bunch of lively, off-beat tracks that are full of energy and bound to get you out of your June winter blues.

Tune in to hear more from Tess and Steph!
