New Species of Early Human Discovered

For tens of thousands of years in a cave in the Philippines lay a tiny fragment of bone that would revolutionize our perception of humankind’s lineage.

Earlier this year, it was discovered by Professor Phillip Piper from the Australian National University.

Deemed Homo Luzonensis after Luzon island where the fragments were found, they represent a major re-invention of how we perceive the course of evolutionary history.

Professor Piper joined Tess on 2Ser Breakfast to discuss the implications of his amazing discovery.
